I work with home-grown materials such as chia and wheatgrass, cultivating them on patterned templates to explore themes of impermanence and sustainability. This experimental, low-impact process results in delicate, biodegradable pieces—for example, latex pods embedded with chia, or a patchwork made entirely from wheatgrass roots, which naturally interlace to bind the individual elements together.

These organic elements can combine with more traditional craft materials such as latex, plaster, ceramics, and metals (as seen in other project pages).
